Ombre brows typically last between 2 to 3 years, but this result varies depending on one's skin type lifestyle, sun exposure, and how well the client follows the aftercare instructions.
While microblading uses fine strokes that mimics individual hairs, ombre brows use tiny dots that creates a soft, powdery appearance.
Pain varies per client and it depends on how they tolerate pain. However, most clients rate their pain as mild to moderate. A numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort.
Initial healing takes 10 to 14 days in which the brows may appear darker and scab slightly. Clients are advised to avoid water, sweat, and sun exposure during this time.
A 6-8 week touch-up is recommended after the initial appointment to correct any fading and ensure the desired shape and color. After that, annual touch-ups may be needed in order to maintain the look.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24-48 hours before your appointment. This is to ensure that you do not have excessive bleeding as it will make it hard for the skin to absorb the pigment.
PSA: Ask your doctor first if it's okay for you to stop taking blood-thinner medications.
Do not wax, pluck, or tint your brows at least a week prior.
Stop the use of retinol or exfoliating products near the brow are at least 2 weeks before the session in order for the skin to absorb the pigment.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have uncontrolled diabetes or take blood-thinning medication.
Are undergoing chemotherapy or other medical treatments.
