Think of a facial like a professional dental cleaning. While daily brushing (your home routine) is essential, a professional can reach deeper, use medical-grade products, and perform safe extractions that you shouldn't try at home.
It’s helpful to arrive with a clean face, but your esthetician will always perform a thorough "pre-cleanse" to ensure they are working on a fresh slate.
Retinols & Acids: Stop using Retin-A, retinol, or strong AHAs/BHAs 3–5 days before your appointment to prevent sensitivity.
Sun Exposure: Avoid tanning or significant sun exposure for at least 72 hours.
Hair Removal: Don't wax or shave your face within 24–48 hours of your treatment.
Ideally, wait 24 hours. Your pores are open and your skin is "breathing." Applying heavy foundation immediately can clog those freshly cleaned pores.
Yes! This is called "purging." The facial speeds up cell turnover, pushing trapped impurities to the surface faster. These breakouts usually clear up much quicker than a standard pimple.
Ombre brows typically last between 2 to 3 years, but this result varies depending on one's skin type lifestyle, sun exposure, and how well the client follows the aftercare instructions.
While microblading uses fine strokes that mimics individual hairs, ombre brows use tiny dots that creates a soft, powdery appearance.
Pain varies per client and it depends on how they tolerate pain. However, most clients rate their pain as mild to moderate. A numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort.
Initial healing takes 10 to 14 days in which the brows may appear darker and scab slightly. Clients are advised to avoid water, sweat, and sun exposure during this time.
A 6-8 week touch-up is recommended after the initial appointment to correct any fading and ensure the desired shape and color. After that, annual touch-ups may be needed in order to maintain the look.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24-48 hours before your appointment. This is to ensure that you do not have excessive bleeding as it will make it hard for the skin to absorb the pigment.
PSA: Ask your doctor first if it's okay for you to stop taking blood-thinner medications.
Do not wax, pluck, or tint your brows at least a week prior.
Stop the use of retinol or exfoliating products near the brow are at least 2 weeks before the session in order for the skin to absorb the pigment.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have uncontrolled diabetes or take blood-thinning medication.
Are undergoing chemotherapy or other medical treatments.
How long does it last?
Typically 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle.
Will it damage my lashes?
No! When performed by a professional, it’s a gentle treatment that actually makes lashes appear healthier.
Can I swim or go to the sauna?
Yes—but only after the first 48 hours. Once set, your lashes are waterproof.
When should I book my next one?
Every 6–8 weeks is the sweet spot to maintain the lift without over-processing.
